About Shar

Shar has had a passion for painting since childhood. She studied art at several different universities, and her painting style has evolved from watercolor,  hard-edge acrylic brush paintings to palette knife acrylic/oils, ranging in styles from pop art, realistic, expressionistic, impressionistic to abstract. Her long-time career in education plus her extensive travel has influenced the forms and colors she uses. Although she started painting primarily on canvas, she has also reawakened discarded school desks, inviting viewers to take a fresh look at a classroom, the individuals in it, and the world of education.
